Highlights: accomplished exactly those described in the Preview (below).


Preview:
* Will start the class with a 5-8 min Bonus-pt Exercise, about material discussed in the Tuesday Lecture and Discussion.
(The significance of the Bonus-pt Exercise is to promote the habit of timely study. The assigned bonus points are small. Like today, we have two exercises, with 0.5 bonus-pt each.)
* Will finish discussing this week's material, in particular about time changing due to special and general relativity effects. Students should try to finish the reading assignments of the week before the class.
* Will view the excerpts of PBS's "Einstein Reveal," which gives an excellent presentation of special relativity and general relativity. The viewing of  is very helpful for students' conceptual understanding of the two topics, and for their HWs and exams.
* After viewing, we will discuss further HW6.
* At the end of the class, will distribute the graded HW5.

* Good web sites about GPS (Global Positioning System), in which the time change due to both special relativity and general relativity needs to be taken into consideration.
